Channing Tatum House: The $5.6M Mandeville Canyon Farmhouse and the Homes Before It

In this article

Channing Tatum’s house today is a 1950s farmhouse of wood and stone in Mandeville Canyon, the wooded northern reach of Brentwood in Los Angeles. He bought it in April 2021 for $5.6 million, weeks before he and his ex-wife, Jenna Dewan, put their Beverly Hills family home on the market. Before that came a hillside house in Laurel Canyon, their first home together. Three houses, all within a few miles of each other, track his life from rising star to married father to single dad.

The Laurel Canyon House

In 2008, a year before they married, Tatum and Dewan paid $2.6 million for a house in the hills of Laurel Canyon. Built in 1927, it has about 2,538 square feet, an open living floor and a curved teak staircase up to the main bedroom suite. They sold it in 2015 in a deal that never reached the open market, for about $2.67 million, barely above what they had paid seven years earlier.

The Beverly Hills Family Home

The same year, with their daughter, Everly, born in 2013, they moved up to a six-bedroom house on a gated street in Beverly Hills, paying $6 million. It was the family home through the rest of their marriage. After they announced their separation in 2018, the house stayed in joint ownership until the divorce settlement. It was listed in May 2021 at $6 million, the price they had paid, and sold that year for about $5.925 million.

The house he bought for himself is smaller and older than the one he left. Built in the 1950s, it has about 3,300 square feet with two main bedrooms, plus a one-bedroom guest house, on just under an acre. It is a rustic midcentury farmhouse, a style that was common in Los Angeles canyons before glass boxes took over, with stone and wood outside and exposed brick inside, in the kitchen and the living room. The main bedroom opens onto a balcony over the gardens.

Mandeville Canyon is one of the few corners of west Los Angeles that still feels rural: a long, narrow road lined with trees, horse properties and big lots, a few minutes from the Brentwood shops. That suits a buyer looking for privacy after a very public divorce.

Where Does Channing Tatum Live Now?

The Brentwood farmhouse is the latest home on record. No sale or new purchase has been reported since 2021, so it remains his Los Angeles base as far as the public record shows. His engagement to Zoë Kravitz, announced in 2023, ended in 2024 without any reported change in where he lives.

Brentwood has drawn very different buyers, from Kendrick Lamar’s $42 million mansion to Chris Pratt, who demolished two houses to build his own.
