Homes Archives has published celebrity house tours since August 2024. Every article on this site is researched from public information and published under a single, consistent byline.
This page explains where our information comes from, how we check it, what we will not publish, and how we use technology in our work. If you think we have got something wrong, our corrections process explains how to tell us.
1. Who Writes for Homes Archives
Homes Archives is written and edited by one person, publishing under the byline Daniel Harper. That name is a pen name, used because the person who runs the site prefers not to publish under their own name.
There is no editorial team and no second writer. An earlier version of this page described a small team and named a second contributing writer; that was inaccurate, and this page was corrected on 7 September 2026.
Because the same person writes and edits every article, no article gets a second reader before it publishes. The sourcing rules in section 2, the verification in section 3, and the corrections process in section 8 are what stand in for that. You can read more about the publication on our About Us page.
2. Where Our Information Comes From
We write about properties using information that is already public. Our sources include:
- Public property and county records
- Real estate listings, both current and archived
- Published reporting in established media outlets
- Architectural and design publications
- Official press materials and media kits
We do not conduct interviews, and we do not publish claims drawn from anonymous tips, private information, or unverified social media rumor.
3. How We Verify
No article is published until a writer has checked every factual claim in it against its original source. That includes sale prices, purchase dates, ownership, location, square footage, and architectural details.
Where reputable sources disagree — which happens often with property values — we say so in the article rather than choosing the most striking figure.
Where a claim cannot be verified against a source, it does not go in the article.
4. What We Do Not Publish
Our subjects are real people, and the properties we write about are their homes. We do not publish:
- Exact street addresses
- Gate codes, alarm details, or any description of security arrangements
- Names or details of household staff
- Photographs obtained by trespass, by drone flights over private property, or by long-lens surveillance
- Claims about a person’s private life that have no bearing on the property
We describe where a home is at the level of street, neighbourhood or city, and no closer.
There is one exception, and it is narrow: a property the public is invited to visit. Museums, presidential libraries, preserved historic sites and working guest ranches are listed with their full address, because the address is how a reader gets there. A private residence is never identified that way, whether or not it is currently for sale.

5. Images
Images on Homes Archives come from real estate listings, official press materials, publicly shared photographs, and licensed stock providers.
We use AI tools to improve the technical quality of photographs — sharpening, upscaling, and reducing noise. We do not use these tools to change what a property actually looks like. We do not add, remove, or alter architectural features, rooms, landscaping, or furnishings.
If you hold the copyright to an image on this site and believe it has been used without authorization, contact us at info@homesarchives.com. We respond within 5 business days.
6. How We Use AI
We use AI tools to help gather and organize research, so that an article covers its subject more completely than a single search would allow.
AI does not decide what we publish. Every factual claim produced during research is checked by a writer against its original source before publication, and every article is written and edited by the one person who publishes this site.
7. Advertising and Independence
Homes Archives is funded by advertising and affiliate links.
- Advertisers have no involvement in what we cover or in what we say about it.
- Sponsored and guest-contributed articles are labeled as such, and commercial links within them carry the
rel="sponsored"attribute. - Affiliate relationships never affect whether a property is covered or how it is described.
8. Updating and Correcting Published Work
Property information changes. Houses are sold again, renovated, or taken off the market. When that happens we add the new information to the article with the date it was added, and leave the original reporting in place.
When an article is wrong, we correct it and we say that we corrected it. Our Corrections Policy explains how we handle corrections and how to report an error to us.
