Courtney Stodden lives in Woodland Hills, a neighborhood in the City of Los Angeles’ west end of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County. She and her husband, film director and producer Jared Safier, closed on a five-bedroom house there in late December 2024, only weeks after their wedding, and TMZ put the price at $1.6 million. It is the first home she is reported to have bought. During her first marriage to The Green Mile actor Doug Hutchison, the couple rented a house in the Hollywood Hills.

The Woodland Hills House (2024 to Today)
Courtney and Safier started dating in August 2023, got engaged in June 2024, and married on December 3, 2024, in a small ceremony in Palm Springs. TMZ reported on December 30 that the newlyweds closed on the house “just last week,” with sources saying they wanted privacy and convenience most and that the couple was enjoying a “quiet life in the valley.”
According to TMZ, the Courtney Stodden house has five bedrooms and four bathrooms across 3,040 square feet. The selling point is outdoors: a resort-style backyard with mountain views, a heated swimming pool and spa, and a stand-alone barbecue. The lot also has parking for up to eight cars. TMZ gave a headline figure of $1.6 million but didn’t say if that was the final sale price or the asking price. No build year, architect, or lot size has been published.
The Woodland Hills house at a glance
Nothing suggests they have moved. In July 2026, TMZ reported that LAPD officers answered a 911 welfare-check call at the couple’s “L.A. area residence” after a verbal argument, and left without any arrests. As of the latest reports, no sale or listing of the house has turned up.
Is the Courtney Stodden House in Calabasas?
Some coverage places the home in Calabasas instead. In February 2025, after the January wildfires, The Blast wrote that the fires had threatened Courtney’s “Calabasas home” and said Safier had given her the house as a gift after their December wedding. The same article later calls it her “former home” and says it was destroyed, which contradicts its own earlier wording. We found no other outlet reporting the house as lost.
Woodland Hills, not Calabasas
The only report with property details (TMZ, December 2024) puts the house in Woodland Hills. Calabasas is a separate city next door. The Blast’s claim that the house was destroyed isn’t backed up by any other report we found.
The two areas share a border, so “Calabasas” is probably just a loose label for the same West Valley house. The 2026 police call points the same way: LAPD responded, and LAPD patrols Woodland Hills. Calabasas is a separate city policed by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The Hollywood Hills Years With Doug Hutchison
Courtney married Hutchison, more than 30 years her senior, in Las Vegas on May 20, 2011, when she was 16. By 2013, press reports described the Hollywood Hills house they shared as a rental, and no price, size, or ownership record for it has been published.
That August, Courtney spent three weeks in a very different house: she entered the British version of Celebrity Big Brother and was evicted on Day 21. When separation reports surfaced that November, after she hosted a Halloween party at the rented house without Hutchison, her representative told reporters the couple was “still living together.” Tabloid accounts that she had moved into a studio next door were never confirmed. The pair also appeared on the second season of VH1’s Couples Therapy. She filed for divorce in March 2018, and it was finalized in March 2020.
