Travis Kelce’s property history now runs to three houses, and each one marks a stage of his career. The first was a house in Kansas City, Missouri, that he bought in 2019. The second is the French Regency-style mansion in Leawood, Kansas, that he bought in 2023 for around $6 million, close to where the Kansas City Chiefs play, and where he proposed to Taylor Swift in 2025. The third he bought in March 2026: Moyenage, an 1895 estate on the edge of Lake Erie in Bratenahl, Ohio, a few miles from where he grew up, for $5.35 million.
The Ohio purchase closed four months before he married Taylor Swift, and it is the most revealing of the three. A player buys near his stadium because he has to. He buys a 21,000-square-foot Gilded Age house near his childhood home because of what he expects to do afterwards.
This guide covers each property in detail, keeps the confirmed prices separate from the estimated valuations circulating online, and sets out where he actually lives.

Who is Travis Kelce?
Travis Kelce is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, widely regarded as one of the best to play the position, with three Super Bowl wins. He grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, played college football at Cincinnati, and was drafted by Kansas City in 2013. His older brother, Jason Kelce, played his entire career for the Philadelphia Eagles, and the two present the New Heights podcast together.
His public profile expanded considerably after his relationship with Taylor Swift became public in September 2023. They became engaged in August 2025 and married on 3 July 2026 in a private ceremony at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, with Adam Sandler officiating and Jason serving as best man.
The last two houses discussed here were bought during that period, and the timing of the Ohio one is not a coincidence.
His first Kansas City house: Briarcliff West
When people talk about Travis Kelce’s Kansas City house, they usually mean the Leawood mansion, which sits in a Kansas suburb of the metro area rather than in the city itself. His one house inside Kansas City proper was on the Missouri side.
Before Leawood, Kelce lived in Briarcliff West, a neighbourhood on the Missouri side of Kansas City, north of the river from downtown. He bought a house of about 10,000 square feet there in 2019 for a reported $995,000, a modest figure next to what came later, and it was his base through the season that ended with the Chiefs’ first Super Bowl win of his career.
That changed in the autumn of 2023. Once the relationship with Swift went public, the house became a fixed point for photographers and fans, and within weeks he had bought a larger property in a gated community across the state line. What happened to Briarcliff afterwards is not clearly documented. A Realtor.com report in early 2026 said records indicated he still owned it, while several celebrity-home sites say he has sold it. No sale has been reported by a news outlet, so its status is best treated as unconfirmed.
The Leawood, Kansas mansion
TMZ first reported the Leawood purchase in October 2023, and the sale closed that November at around $6 million. The house had been listed at $6.9 million before a cut to $5.9 million. Leawood is an affluent suburb on the Kansas side of the Kansas City metropolitan area, and the house sits in a gated community near Hallbrook, at the end of a cul-de-sac on more than three acres. In a suburb of that kind, that buys a genuine amount of separation from neighbours.
The house’s best-known moment came in August 2025, when Kelce proposed to Swift in its garden, the setting of the engagement photographs the couple posted on 26 August. His father later recalled that the florists were still finishing when the couple walked out, and had to stay hidden in the shrubbery for the proposal.
Leawood is a standard choice for Chiefs players, offering privacy and a short drive to the team’s facilities. His quarterback’s property history follows a similar logic, as the coverage of Patrick Mahomes’s Missouri estate shows.
Inside the Leawood house
Published figures for the house itself vary. It is a French Regency-style building of roughly 16,000 to 17,000 square feet with six bedrooms, and reported bathroom counts range from six to ten depending on the source. The amenities are the ones you would expect a professional athlete to specify and then actually use: a two-level cinema, a wine cellar, a gym with a sauna, a club room with a full bar, a resort-style pool with a waterfall, a six-car garage, a pickleball court, and a small golf course on the grounds. In October 2024, he was reported to have filed permits for a roughly 400-square-foot underground addition to hold a golf simulator.
No video tour of the Leawood house has appeared in the coverage reviewed here, so what is known about the interior comes from the 2023 listing and later press descriptions.
The October 2024 break-in
On the evening of 7 October 2024, while Kelce was playing the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football at Arrowhead, the Leawood house was burgled. The police report recorded about $20,000 in cash taken and roughly $1,000 in damage to a rear door. Mahomes’s house was broken into the same night.
Investigators later linked both to a South American burglary ring that targeted athletes’ homes while they were playing, and federal prosecutors charged seven Chilean nationals over a string of break-ins worth about $2 million, including the burglary at Joe Burrow’s home in Ohio.
Moyenage: the 1895 Bratenahl estate near Cleveland
In March 2026, ESPN reported that Kelce had closed on a house in Bratenahl, a small village on the Lake Erie shore just east of downtown Cleveland. It had first been listed at $6.99 million in 2023 and was later cut to $5.99 million. He paid $5.35 million, roughly $640,000 below the final asking price and $1.64 million below the original one.
The house has a name, Moyenage, and a much longer history than anything else he owns. It was built in 1895 for Jay Collins Morse, a partner in the Cleveland iron-ore firm Pickands Mather & Co., to designs by the architect Jarvis Hunt: a three-storey Elizabethan Tudor house in brick, with stone castellations and a black walnut double staircase in the entrance hall. Its later owners read like a short history of Cleveland money. George Martin, president of Sherwin-Williams, bought it in 1928, and the Rand family followed in 1947. It served as a television set in the 1960s, then passed to a pair of antique dealers and, in 1985, to the Spano family. During Prohibition, its mural-lined ballroom was used as a speakeasy.
The present layout is recent. Figurati Construction Group bought the house in 2023 for $1.95 million and carried out an extensive renovation before selling it on, which accounts for much of the gap between that price and Kelce’s. The work left eight bedrooms and eleven bathrooms across about 21,000 square feet, on three and a half acres running down to Lake Erie, and turned the old ballroom into a games room and home cinema. There are several fireplaces, a resort-style pool, a five-car garage and a separate two-bedroom guest cottage. While it was still on the market, WKYC filmed a video walkthrough of the renovated house, which remains the most complete look inside any of his homes.
ESPN and Cleveland outlets name Kelce as the buyer. Many reports describe it as a house he and Swift bought together, and it may well work as a shared home, but no published record puts her name on the title.
The location is the point. Bratenahl is only a few miles from Cleveland Heights, where Kelce was raised, and his Eighty-Seven & Running foundation already runs its programmes in both Kansas City and Cleveland. Buying a nineteenth-century estate near his hometown, four months before getting married, reads clearly as a decision about the years after football rather than during it.
Where does Travis Kelce live now?
Primarily in Leawood, Kansas, with the Ohio estate as a second home whose role is likely to grow.
The reasoning is straightforward. In March 2026, rather than retire or test free agency, Kelce re-signed with the Chiefs for a 14th season, on a deal structured in effect as one year at $12 million with two further years that mainly spread the salary-cap cost. That ties him to the Kansas City area for the 2026 season, including training camp and the months of preparation around it. The Leawood house has not been sold or listed, and no reporting suggests he has given it up.
The Bratenahl house is a genuine second residence rather than an investment, but nothing in the reporting indicates the couple has made it their main base. He plays in Kansas City; his wife’s work takes her wherever it takes her; and a lakefront house in Ohio is most useful in an off-season.
What cannot be established is how the couple actually divide their time, and no source has published that. Swift has her own substantial property portfolio, covered in our guide to Taylor Swift’s houses, and where the household spends any given month is not a matter of public record. The honest summary is that Kelce lives in Kansas during the football year and has bought near his hometown for what comes next.
Claims about his houses that do not hold up
Kelce’s homes attract more invented detail than most. These claims circulate widely, and none survives a check against the record.
| Claim | What the record shows |
|---|---|
| The Leawood house is worth about $9.2 million | That figure is an automated estimate, not a sale, an appraisal, or a listing. The documented figure is the roughly $6 million he paid in 2023. Automated valuations on property sites such as Zillow are model-based estimates, not appraisals, and the house has not been listed for sale since he bought it. |
| He bought a $3.3 million Kansas City house as a shelter for homeless young people | Kelce dismissed it himself on New Heights as a false claim, and pointed listeners to his foundation’s own site for its actual work. |
| He owns a condo in Florida | The Orlando house usually cited belongs to his mother, Donna Kelce, who bought it in 2019. Travis and Jason are named on the deed only as remaindermen, meaning they inherit it later. |
| He has won four Super Bowls | He has won three: LIV, LVII, and LVIII. |
| He is in a fence dispute with Bratenahl neighbours | The story traces back to an anonymous submission to a celebrity gossip account. Neither the village nor Kelce has confirmed any dispute. |
What the three purchases show
Read together, the pattern is unusually legible. The 2019 house was a rising player’s first serious purchase, bought for under $1 million. Leawood was bought for privacy at the moment his fame changed scale, close to work and fitted out for an athlete’s daily routine. Moyenage came two and a half years later, near family, at almost a quarter below its original asking price, and it is older, larger and considerably less about convenience.
Athletes tend to buy where they play and then, later, where they came from. Travis Kelce has now done both.
