Dayanara Torres, the Puerto Rican actress, author and 1993 Miss Universe, now lives in South Florida. Her most recent home tours, shared on Instagram and covered by La Opinión, show a home in Doral, in Miami-Dade County. Before Florida she spent years in the Los Angeles area, where MDZ Online reported she bought a five-bedroom house in Woodland Hills in August 2014 for $1,517,000. Her story starts much further from luxury: a small wooden farmhouse in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, where the bedrooms had no doors.

The Wooden Farmhouse in Toa Alta
Dayanara was born in Toa Alta in October 1974 and grew up there on a family farm. In September 2022 she posted a photo of the house on Instagram, calling it “nuestra casita” (our little house) and saying her dreams of acting and dancing started there.
According to La Opinión, it was a small wooden house with three bedrooms, none of which had doors. The bathroom had a curtain instead of a door, and the toilet had no flush handle, so the family flushed it with a bucket of water. For a time they bathed with a hose behind a makeshift screen. She shared the house with her parents and three brothers, surrounded by chickens, goats, rabbits and calves.
Telemundo, covering the same post, quoted her saying the little house no longer exists. It was sold when she was 21, around the time her parents divorced, and the new owners built a concrete house on the site, where another family now lives.
Woodland Hills: Her Los Angeles-Area House
Torres married Marc Anthony in 2000, and after their 2004 divorce she raised their sons, Cristian and Ryan, in Los Angeles. The one documented Dayanara Torres house purchase from this period is in Woodland Hills, a neighborhood in the west San Fernando Valley.
MDZ Online reported in March 2023 that she bought the house in August 2014 for $1,517,000. It has about 3,209 square feet, five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The same report said she no longer lives there. No sale record turned up in our research, so it is unclear whether she sold the house or still owns it.

The Encino Mansion That Wasn’t Hers
Searches for her California home often surface a Mediterranean-style mansion in Encino. That house belonged to Marc Anthony, not Torres. Fox News reported in November 2014 that he bought the 6,263-square-foot, five-bedroom home in April 2013 for $2.25 million and listed it at an asking price of $2.75 million about 18 months later, shortly before marrying Shannon de Lima. The story mentioned Torres only because a court had just raised his child support payments for their sons.
Not her house
The Encino mansion listed in 2014 was Marc Anthony’s property. The Woodland Hills house is the one reported as hers.
Dayanara Torres House in Florida: The Doral Living Room
MDZ Online reported that Torres moved to an apartment in Miami in 2022. In July 2023 she showed off a makeover of the living room in what she called her new home, done with the company Closet Detail. She said the room lacked a “wow factor” and had no storage, while she had 37 boxes of books packed away. The result, La Opinión reported, was white walls, gray sofas and a wall of colorful books, with her 1993 Miss Universe crown on the most prominent shelf.
In September 2025 La Opinión covered another video, this time placing the home in Doral. She had redone the living room, which also works as a TV room, around a large bookcase that holds her books and the crown, which she treats as her most prized possession. “Amo mi sala hermosa” (I love my beautiful living room), she wrote. The articles don’t say whether this is the same home as the 2023 makeover, and no purchase price or size for her Florida home has been reported.
