Gennifer Flowers lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has been based there since about 2007, and the Encyclopedia of Arkansas says she still lives in the city and works as an entertainer. No reliable outlet has reported a specific Las Vegas property, a purchase price or a listing in her name. What the record does show is a series of moves across five decades: a farm-country childhood in Arkansas, a Little Rock apartment that became part of the 1992 Clinton story, a home above her own nightclub in New Orleans’ French Quarter, and a house near the Quarter she had owned for only two weeks when Hurricane Katrina hit.

Brinkley and Little Rock: The Arkansas Years
Flowers was born in Oklahoma City in 1950. As a child she moved with her family to Anchorage, Washington state and Modesto, California, before they settled in rural Brinkley in Monroe County, Arkansas. Her father ran a crop-dusting business there, and she graduated from Brinkley High School.
She moved to Little Rock in 1975 to report for KARK-TV and met Bill Clinton there in 1977. After stints in Tulsa, Branson and Dallas, she came back to Arkansas in the mid-1980s. In her account, Clinton urged her to rent an apartment in a particular building where several of his aides lived, on the theory that his visits there would draw less attention. The Encyclopedia of Arkansas reports this as her claim and doesn’t name the building. Some websites do name one, but we found no reliable source that confirms it.
Above the Kelsto Club in the French Quarter
Flowers married stockbroker and entrepreneur Finis Shelnutt in November 1996. The Las Vegas Sun reported that the couple lived in Las Vegas in the late 1990s, though she spent much of that time on the road performing.
In 2000 they moved to New Orleans and lived on the top floors of the building that housed her new nightclub. The Gennifer Flowers Kelsto Club was a cabaret in a former bordello in the French Quarter, and she headlined it herself. Wikipedia says the club ran until Hurricane Katrina in 2005. In the same year, Reason magazine noted that Shelnutt had lived in New Orleans for less than four years.
The Gennifer Flowers House Near the Quarter and Hurricane Katrina
As the marriage ended, Flowers bought a house of her own near the French Quarter in 2005, shortly before the storm. “I had only been in it two weeks when Katrina hit,” she told the Las Vegas Sun. The paper reported that she spent the following year repairing the house and getting her life back in order. No outlet has reported the home’s price, size or exact location, and we haven’t guessed at them.
Nicki Swift reports that the couple divorced in 2005 after about a decade together. In a 2012 interview reported by ABC News, Flowers said Clinton called her in 2005, after the divorce, and asked to come by her house to talk. She said she was home alone at the time and turned him down.
