Kathryn Dennis has never been reported as buying a home of her own. The Southern Charm star’s best-known address was a rental: a pink, multi-story South of Broad townhouse in downtown Charleston that she leased for $6,600 a month in 2019. Since then she has lived in family property, first a townhouse her late grandfather left her and, as of FITSNews’s October 2025 reporting, her father’s home on Lewisfield Plantation near Moncks Corner, South Carolina.

Rent on the pink Charleston townhouse seen on Southern Charm, the best-documented home she has lived in, and a rental.
That pattern matters because many pages label the pink townhouse as the Kathryn Dennis house. She never owned it. When it went on the market in June 2019, the seller was the property’s owner, not Kathryn.
The Pink South of Broad Rental
Viewers saw Kathryn settle into the house during season 6. Bravo’s May 2019 tour put the rent at $6,600 a month, or $79,200 a year, for a fully furnished, turnkey home in Charleston’s historic South of Broad neighborhood. She told the cameras she wanted “to find a home for us that we can plant our roots.” When castmate Austen Kroll asked about the rent, she called it “out of this world.”
The rental at a glance
Inside, Bravo described an open main floor and a recently updated kitchen with custom cabinetry that hides the appliances for an all-white look. One of the three fireplaces is in the family room, and the main bedroom fits a king-size bed. The feature that sold Kathryn on it, according to Bravo, was the private patio.
The vertical layout was the drawback. In a June 2019 Bravo interview she said the house had five floors and complained that “nothing ever made it to the top floor.” Bravo reported she stayed only about six months.
Why She Gave It Up
By June 2019 Kathryn had moved out. Citing People, the Charleston City Paper reported that the rent had become too costly during her custody fight with ex-partner Thomas Ravenel, and quoted her saying the house “was too large of an amount of money to be spending when I need to be building savings.”
The same month, the townhouse was listed for sale with a garden and parking. The asking price was $1,795,000, a figure that refers to the owner’s listing, not to anything Kathryn paid. No sale price was reported in the sources reviewed here.
The Townhouse Her Grandfather Left Her
Her next stop was her grandfather’s place. In the same interview she said, “I’m back at my grandfather’s,” noting that the house was paid off and that she was saving to build her first home with her business partner, Donna Steele, and Steele’s husband. She wanted to stay near the city but out of the spotlight: “I gotta stay close to Charleston, but I don’t want to be in the thick of all that crap.”
By the season 7 premiere in October 2020, the plan had shifted from building to renovating. Kathryn said she was “renovating the townhouse that my grandfather left me,” but admitted she was dragging her feet because it was the last place she had lived with her mother, Allison Calhoun Dennis, who died about two months after Kathryn moved in. Bravo did not name the townhouse’s neighborhood, and no later report confirms the renovation was finished.
During that period she also stayed for a time in Thomas Ravenel’s house. Bravo’s October 2020 peek inside showed a large, light-filled kitchen with a white-cabinet island, a wood dining table next to it, and the couple’s two children’s artwork on the refrigerator.

Kathryn Dennis House Today: Lewisfield Plantation
The most recent report places her back in Berkeley County. FITSNews, covering her October 2025 DUI sentence, wrote that she lives with her father, Luke Dennis, at the family home on Lewisfield Plantation. It echoes what she told Bravo in 2017, when she returned from treatment in California to the Moncks Corner house where she grew up, calling it “out in the woods, in the country” and “my safe haven.”
Lewisfield is one of the oldest houses in the area. According to its National Register of Historic Places listing, summarized on Wikipedia, the plantation sits about 2.5 miles south of Moncks Corner on the Cooper River. Its main house dates to around 1774: a two-and-a-half-story clapboard house on a high brick foundation, with a five-bay verandah carried on six slender Doric columns. It was added to the National Register in 1973.
The property’s history is long and uncomfortable. Sedgewick Lewis bought the roughly 1,000-acre tract in 1767, and Lord Cornwallis is said to have stayed there during the Revolutionary War. More than 100 enslaved people were held on the plantation as of 1835. In the 20th century it became a winter duck-hunting estate, bought in 1937 for $50,000, before much of the land was sold for timber in 1948. Wikipedia also notes that South Carolina politician Rembert Dennis lived there.
Whether she has since moved again isn’t publicly confirmed, so treat Lewisfield as her home as of the latest reports.
