The only house Katie Maloney has owned on record is the Valley Village home she bought with then-husband Tom Schwartz in 2019. The “Vanderpump Rules” couple paid just under $2 million for it, listed it for about $2.7 million after their 2022 split, and accepted a $2.45 million offer that July. The Katie Maloney house story ends there: since then she has rented apartments in Los Angeles, most recently moving into a new one at the end of August 2024.

The Valley Village House She Bought With Tom Schwartz
Katie and Tom left West Hollywood for the San Fernando Valley in spring 2019. It was the couple’s first home together. TMZ later put the purchase price at “just under $2 million.”
The property has four bedrooms and five bathrooms in roughly 3,500 square feet, according to TMZ. Outside there is a pool, a patio and a backyard spa. Bravo noted the house came turnkey, with much of its furniture included, and the couple kept several of those pieces.

Inside the Katie Maloney House: “Restoration Hardware Meets Urban Outfitters”
In an April 2021 interview with Bravo, Katie called the style transitional and summed it up as “if Restoration Hardware and Urban Outfitters had a baby.” Tom described it as relaxed and cozy rather than flashy, with plants everywhere.
Their favorite rooms were upstairs. Katie preferred the primary bedroom for its fireplace, while Tom picked the primary bathroom with its freestanding tub. A spare bedroom with an extra closet and an unused vanity had become a catch-all, and a downstairs room that once housed their pet lizard still needed updating. In a November 2021 video tour, the couple said the open kitchen was where they spent the most time.
They never saw it as permanent. In that same 2021 interview they talked about one day owning a ranch with animals, naming Thousand Oaks, Ojai or Santa Barbara as possible spots.
The 2022 Sale After the Divorce
The couple separated in early 2022 and kept sharing the house for several months. On her podcast in March, Katie called living together “the best-case scenario,” and by mid-May she had packed up the whole downstairs. In early June she posted that she was moving in two days.
TMZ reported the listing on June 17, 2022, at $2.7 million, with Stephen Apelian of Coldwell Banker Realty as the agent. TMZ’s later report gave the original asking price as $2.75 million, cut by about $150,000. In July the couple accepted an offer of $2.45 million, and Distractify later reported that the sale closed in August 2022 at that price. Proceeds were split as part of their divorce, which was finalized that October.

The “$2 million sale” figure
HollywoodLife, citing Us Weekly’s reading of the divorce papers, said the house sold for $2 million. TMZ’s $2.45 million accepted offer and Distractify’s later report of a $2.45 million sale point the other way. Figures online estimating how much Katie personally took from the sale have no documented source.
Where Does Katie Maloney Live Now?
After the sale Katie rented an apartment in Los Angeles, which she decorated with a disco ball, plants, vintage tables and a record player. The couch she had bought before leaving the house came with her. The New York Post estimated the rent at $2,800 to $3,500 a month, and former co-star Kristen Doute lived just down the hall.
At the end of August 2024 she moved again, posting “Happy new home!” from a larger-looking apartment with light wood floors and a checkered rug. She hasn’t said where it is, and as of the latest reports there’s no record of her buying another house.
