Nicole Kidman’s main home is a gated mansion in the Northumberland area of Nashville, Tennessee, which she and Keith Urban bought in 2008 for $3.47 million. Architectural Digest described it in May 2026 as her primary residence, months after the couple’s divorce was finalized in January 2026.
Nashville is only one corner of a property portfolio that has stretched across three countries: a Beverly Hills house, apartments in New York, a cattle farm in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales and a cluster of harbor-view apartments in Sydney. Here is what the public record and major outlets actually show, home by home.

The Nicole Kidman House in Nashville
This is the property most people mean by the Nicole Kidman house. The couple bought it in 2008, two years after their June 2006 wedding in Sydney, for $3.47 million. According to Architectural Digest, the main house covers 10,925 square feet on a gated lot of about two acres, with seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms (The Nightly and Marie Claire count eight). Inside there is a home theater and a 30-foot hobby room, and the grounds include a pool and tennis courts.
It became the family base where the couple raised their daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, between Kidman’s film shoots and Urban’s tours. Kidman filed for divorce in Nashville at the end of September 2025, citing irreconcilable differences, and the split was finalized in January 2026. Who formally keeps the mansion has never been set out in court records reported by the press; the strongest public signal is Architectural Digest’s 2026 description of it as her primary residence.
Her Nashville years overlap with those of her Big Little Lies co-star, whose home in Nashville is also on the city’s celebrity map.
The First Tennessee Home: A 36-Acre Franklin Compound
Before Northumberland, the couple bought a country retreat in Franklin, in Williamson County about 30 minutes south of downtown Nashville. They paid $2.45 million in 2007 for 36 acres with a red-brick main house of about 5,086 square feet, a guest cottage and a barn.
W Magazine listed the main house at four bedrooms and five bathrooms (Galerie counted six), with a sun room, skylights in the living room, granite counters, a full gym and a large walk-in closet. The property went on the market in 2016 with an asking price of $3.45 million, the price was cut by $750,000 over two years, and the $2.7 million sale was reported in November 2018, a modest gain on what they paid.
Sydney: A Penthouse Above Lavender Bay and Five More Apartments
Kidman’s earlier Sydney home was a three-storey house in Darling Point, in the city’s Eastern Suburbs, which she shared with Tom Cruise in the 1990s. She sold it in 2009 for about A$12 million, Urban.com.au reported, the same year she began buying on the North Shore.
Her Australian city base since then is the Latitude building at Milsons Point, a Mirvac tower completed in 2006 that looks across Lavender Bay to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The figures below are in Australian dollars, as reported by The Nightly in January 2026.
- 2009: the first penthouse, bought for about A$6 million from Yellow Brick Road founder Mark Bouris.
- 2011: a 19th-floor apartment for A$2.68 million.
- 2012: the neighbouring penthouse for about A$7 million, combined with the first into a roughly 800-square-meter residence.
- 2021 and 2022: a 20th-floor two-bedroom (A$2.78 million) and a fourth-floor one-bedroom (A$1.35 million).
- 2023: a 15th-floor three-bedroom for A$7.725 million.
That last unit is the only one confirmed sold. Property records show it went to winemaker David Madson for A$8.5 million in May 2025, though the sale only became public in January 2026. The apartments are held through companies fronted by Kidman’s childhood friend Annette Rechner, which is why her name rarely appears on the titles. Architectural Digest gives lower, US-dollar conversions for the same purchases, so expect different numbers depending on which outlet you read.

Bunya Hill: The Sutton Forest Farm
For time outside the city, the family bought Bunya Hill in 2008, a 45-hectare black Angus cattle stud at Sutton Forest in the Southern Highlands, south-west of Sydney. The Nightly and Marie Claire put the price at A$6.5 million. The homestead is a Georgian house built in 1878; Marie Claire reports it was leased in the 1880s as a country retreat for Lord Augustus Loftus, then Governor of New South Wales. It has a sandstone veranda, a carved cedar staircase, a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, a library lined with built-in shelves, a green-walled pool room and a separate guest cottage. Tabloid reports claim the farm went to Kidman in the divorce, but no major outlet has confirmed that.
Beverly Hills and New York
The couple’s Los Angeles house sits in the Beverly Hills Post Office area of Los Angeles. They paid $4.7 million in 2008 for a 3,977-square-foot 1960s contemporary of stone and concrete with five bedrooms, five bathrooms (one of them a half bath), a flat roof and a wraparound deck on the second floor. According to Architectural Digest, Kidman reportedly kept it after the split.
In Manhattan, they bought a three-bedroom duplex in 2010 in a West Chelsea condo tower designed by Annabelle Selldorf and known for its in-unit car elevator. Reported prices range from more than $9.6 million to $10 million. The 3,248-square-foot unit has two terraces and a double-height great room under a 23-foot ceiling. In early 2020 Kidman added a roughly $3.5 million two-bedroom pied-a-terre in Tribeca, in a landmarked building designed by McKim, Mead & White. Whether she still owns either New York apartment is unclear.

The London Rental for Practical Magic 2
Not every Kidman house is one she owns. While filming Practical Magic 2 in the summer of 2025, she rented a six-bedroom house in Hampstead, north London, once owned by Boy George, with Gothic-inspired interiors by designer Kelly Hoppen and a meditation room. Architectural Digest, citing MailOnline, put the rent at roughly $88,000 a month.
About the “who gets the house” headlines
Many sites state as fact which homes Kidman or Urban kept in the divorce. Those claims trace back to anonymous tabloid sources. No court filing reported by a major outlet has set out how their properties were divided, so treat any definite split as unconfirmed.
