Kristin Cavallari House: The Franklin ‘Divorce House’, Her 130-Acre Estate and the Cutler Mansion

Kristin Cavallari has owned three Tennessee homes since moving south with Jay Cutler, and each one marks a chapter. There was the huge Mediterranean house the couple shared during the Very Cavallari years, which sold at a heavy loss in 2020. There was the 28-acre Franklin farmhouse she bought as she separated from Cutler and called her “divorce house”, sold in 2025 for more than double what she paid. And there is the Kristin Cavallari house of today: a one-story home on about 130 acres outside Nashville, which she spent two years renovating.

The Mediterranean Mansion She Shared With Jay Cutler

In 2012, while Cutler was still quarterbacking the Chicago Bears, the couple paid $5.3 million for a 2007 Mediterranean-style house in Nashville on 8.5 acres. At nearly 20,000 square feet, with seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, three half baths and a movie theater, it was the family home through most of their marriage and the backdrop to her E! series Very Cavallari, though they agreed never to show their children’s faces on camera.

They listed it in 2018 at $7.9 million. It did not sell until July 2020, months after they announced their split, and the final price was $3.7 million: $1.6 million less than they paid eight years earlier, and less than half the original asking price.

The Kristin Cavallari House in Franklin: Her “Divorce House”

In April 2020, the same month she and Cutler announced their separation after seven years of marriage, Cavallari bought a farmhouse on 28 acres in Franklin, south of Nashville, for just over $3 million. She later called it her “divorce house”. The main house has about 6,800 square feet with four bedrooms and five bathrooms.

She spent 18 months renovating it. The work included gutting the kitchen, finishing the basement as a wellness retreat, redoing the bathrooms and enlarging the closets. Outside there is a pool, and the farm side became part of her clean-eating image: a greenhouse and beehives conveyed with the sale.

She first listed the farmhouse in 2024 at $11 million. After a price cut to $8.99 million it went under contract in March 2025 and closed early that April for about $7.5 million, roughly two and a half times what she had paid five years earlier, before renovation costs.

The 130-Acre Estate She Lives on Now

Cavallari had already moved on before the farmhouse sold. By early October 2024 she was talking on her podcast about settling into a new house in the Franklin area, praising the light in its open, airy kitchen and saying peace, for her, meant making the home exactly how she wanted it.

The new property is a one-story house on about 130 acres outside Nashville. A real estate agent friend urged her to see it, and she has said she completely fell in love with it, in part because it is so private. Its purchase price has not been reported.

When she showed off the finished work in August 2026, she summed up the appeal: the less often she has to leave the house, the better.

Why Cavallari Stayed in Middle Tennessee

All three houses sit within a short drive of each other, and that is deliberate. Cutler stayed in the Nashville area after the divorce, which keeps co-parenting their sons Camden and Jaxon and daughter Saylor straightforward. Her jewelry and lifestyle company, Uncommon James, is also based there. She is in good company: Franklin and the surrounding countryside are home to figures from Dave Ramsey and his Franklin estate to the former Titans tackle Taylor Lewan.
