Elle Macpherson’s best-documented home is a French Normandy-style estate in Coral Gables, Florida, which she bought for $8.1 million in 2018 and sold for a reported $18.5 million in September 2024. Before that, the Australian supermodel kept a pied-a-terre on Manhattan’s Upper East Side for more than two decades, owned a six-bedroom townhouse in London’s Notting Hill and lived in her then-husband Jeffrey Soffer’s waterfront mansion on Indian Creek island near Miami Beach.

Below is what the property records and real-estate press actually show, home by home, and where the trail stops.
The Coral Gables Estate in Journey’s End
Elle bought the house in 2018 for $8.1 million, according to The Real Deal and The Nightly. It sits in Journey’s End Estates, a gated enclave of just 18 homes in Coral Gables, south of Miami, on a lot of about 1.7 acres.
The house was designed by Miami architect Chad Oppenheim in a French Normandy style. Interiors were reworked after her purchase by the design firm Sawyer | Berson, and the grounds were landscaped by garden designer Enzo Enea. Cottages & Gardens reported that Sawyer | Berson’s Matt McKay said she wanted the rooms to hold serious art without feeling like a gallery. Works by Andy Warhol and the photographer Horst P. Horst were on the walls, and The Nightly adds Basquiat, Haring and Hirst to the list.
Reported sizes vary slightly. The Nightly gives 771 square meters (roughly 8,300 square feet) of living space, while the 2022 listing write-up in Cottages & Gardens put it at 8,935 square feet. Both agree on six bedrooms.
Coral Gables estate at a glance
Inside, the listing described a grand entry foyer, high ceilings, an open-plan living and dining area, a chef’s kitchen, a separate office and a library. There’s also a gym, and the main suite has two walk-in closets. Outside, a saltwater pool sits among mature oak trees.
Elle Macpherson House Sale: $29 Million Ask, $18.5 Million Deal
She put the estate on the market in April 2022 at $29 million, with Pablo Alfaro of Douglas Elliman as listing agent. It didn’t move at that price. The Nightly reported the guide had been cut to $22 million before the house sold for a reported $18.5 million, with a deal record dating the closing to September 20, 2024. The buyer wasn’t named.
So the sale came in $10.5 million under the first asking price, yet still about $10.4 million above her 2018 purchase price, before renovation and carrying costs. One industry outlet dates her ownership to 2017 rather than 2018; most reports use 2018.
The Indian Creek Mansion She Shared With Jeffrey Soffer
Elle married Miami hotel and real-estate developer Jeffrey Soffer in 2013, and the couple lived on Indian Creek, a tiny island village off Miami Beach. The house was his before it was theirs. The Real Deal reported that Soffer paid $5.3 million for the waterfront site in 2000 and that a nine-bedroom mansion of nearly 24,000 square feet was finished there in 2006. In early 2014 the couple took out an $18 million mortgage on the property together.
HOLA! toured the interiors in 2018 and described a colonial-style house with a private dock, a 12-seat marble dining table, an all-white kitchen with a large island and a wine room off the pantry. When the marriage ended in 2017, The Daily Beast reported that she moved out with her sons and began looking for a Miami home of her own. The Coral Gables purchase followed the next year.
Her Manhattan Pied-a-Terre
Long before Florida, Elle kept a base in New York. She bought an apartment on East 68th Street in 1993, half a block from Central Park, and turned the original two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath layout into a large one-bedroom of about 1,800 square feet. She sold it for $2.4 million in October 2014 after more than 300 days on the market, as reported by The Real Deal and 6sqft. Her broker said at the time that she was spending most of her time in London.
The Notting Hill House in London
London was long her base, and she is the mother of two sons with financier Arpad Busson. After that relationship ended, she bought a six-bedroom house in Notting Hill near the top of the market. She hired interior designer Jonathan Reed to give it a contemporary, minimalist feel, and the renovation added bathrooms and living space while restoring original period details.
In June 2009 the London Evening Standard reported that she had cut the asking price by £2 million. Neither the original nor the reduced figure was published, and we found no confirmed record of when, or for how much, the house eventually sold.

Where Does Elle Macpherson Live Now?
The Elle Macpherson house trail goes quiet after 2024. As of the latest reports, she hasn’t publicly disclosed a new home purchase since the Coral Gables sale. A September 2026 profile in The New Daily said that, after long stretches in New York and London, she has made the United States her home. If she has bought again, the deal hasn’t surfaced in the property press.
